Does
CSL hurt?
Controlled Spectrum Light Therapy, or CSL,
is composed of three applications of the light spectrum:
LED, HEFL, and ST.
LED phototherapy is completely painless,
even relaxing. HEFL and ST produce a mild sensation
at the time of the procedure, much like the snap of a rubber
band, and may produce a warm feeling for a few hours afterwards.
Can I go back to my daily routine
immediately after CSL treatments?
Yes! Because CSL is non-invasive, one
of its unique benefits is the lack of a “red face.”
Skin pigmentation and age spots however, often do become temporarily
darker for up to several days before fading away, but these
spots can easily be covered by concealer.
Is Controlled Spectrum Light Therapy
considered invasive?
No, CSL does not open the skin
in any way. Rather, it uses various forms
of light to rejuvenate and enhance the skin.
Who typically undergoes CSL?
CSL treatments, usually administered over a series of visits,
are designed to rejuvenate the skin. They create a healthy,
natural, and vital appearance to the skin. CSL tightens sagging
skin, builds collagen, and improves sun damage, redness, pigmented
spots, dull complexions, uneven pigmentation, and large pores.
This typically appeals to people
who have realistic goals and who do not want invasive plastic
surgery. It
is for people who want to look very good for their age,
not for people who have an unrealistic goal of artificially
looking 20 or 30 years younger than their actual age.
How does Controlled Spectrum Light Therapy compare to a face-lift?
A face-lift is an invasive surgical procedure which involves
cutting and stretching the skin, often creating a tight appearance
to the face. CSL, by contrast, actually rejuvenates
the skin to create a more natural, healthy, and vibrant appearance.
Unlike a face-lift, it is non-invasive: no
cutting or stretching of the skin is performed.
People who already have had a face-lift still can benefit
from CSL to improve the quality of the skin.
How Long Do The Results Last?
CSL treatments can non-invasively rejuvenate and enhance the
beauty of your skin, helping to make you look very good for
your age. Unfortunately, the aging process never stops and
your skin will always continue to age. We see you back one
year after your first treatment to see how you are aging.
Some people will benefit from a small “touch up”
at a reduced cost at this point. Others may need no further
treatment at all at that time. The amount of treatments you
will require over the subsequent years will depend on how
you age and how well you care for your skin.
